Ok so i was wathcing Sudden Impact last night and at the very end just before the credits roll, Callahan puts his arm around/behind Sondra Locke and they move away, as they begin to move away the camera pulls back and we see the .44 auto Magnum tucked into the front of harrys pants, my question is
Is there a man alive apart from Harry Callahan brave enough to stick a 44 magnum down the front of his pants?

:o never noticed that. Wow. Dangerous.

Sudden Impact. Dirty Harry #4. If you ever doubted that Harry was seriously getting tired of his job, you got your proof LOL
I don't think it's something he would have done back in 1971  :-\

Sure, but isn't it why holsters were invented -so that you wouldn't have to put your gun in your pants?  :D

It may have had some symbolic implications.  :o ;)

little_bill, I changed the topic title to make it more, er, specific.  ;)

I`ve always thought it looked pretty ridicilous when he tucked that enormous gun to his pants.

yeah thats a good point, still i wouldn't entrust that much to a little metal switch.  ;D

cool KC thanks, the original title was a little non descript ;)

Well, I guess you would want a casual place to keep your gun.  If you were a cop, where would you put your gun?  I would get a holster.  Harry was on "vacation".  Yes, he did bring his 44 and holster (hotel scene: "Looks like I owe you one, Meathead.") but, He was sent to get information.  He lost his 44 when he pulled it out of his holster, getting beatin.  The gun he had left to get was the one, the only, 44 Automag!

:o Why didn't I think of that?  ;D

So the one he puts in his pants is the 44 automag, right? Isn't it bigger than the 44 Magnum?

Considering what Ms Lockes character had been busy doin' throughout the movie..  :o I wouldn't have stuck the gun there.

i wonder if KCs naming of the thread is not a freudian slip, if the gun were to go off it would definitely be Harrys Final Shot  ;D

It might have been done with a certain measure of double entendre in mind. ;)
