Hey:
Are the shades from The Enforcer still "unidentified?"
I never really liked them compared to the original sunglasses, but they are suddenly starting to grow on me.

Thanks

Hey Glenny,

Yep, I think they are still unidentified, unless anyone has anything to add to the old thread on this? ???

Unfortunately a lot of the images in that thread have been taken down. :(

Those are some might fine shades. The fact that Clint wore them makes like 100 times cooler.

Alcatraz, I hope you'll read through all the pages of that thread. If you then still think Clint wore the shades that Mr. Roberts is offering for sale on eBay, I hope you'll come to New York soon, because I have a bridge I think you'd be interested in buying! ;)

Eh, I think I missed the joke.

And speaking of NY, how I miss it. I'm originally from Queens.

Here are a couple of screen caps I grabbed from The Enforcer...  Once I thought they might have been Serengeti Aviators but those are metal and Harry's seem to be plastic....

As you can see by the side shot they are very slender which is a rarity for 70's sunglasses...

Those are close Glenny but not an exact match.  The top strap is striaght on yours where on Harry's the strap seems to be off set a bit from the lenses.

Aren't these shades very similar to the one's he wore in "Coogan's Bluff."  I assume they are not identical.

I love Ray Bans and had the Baloramas and they were okay, but I have a small nose and they would slide down at times.  I rather have a pair with a raised nose bridge, but then it wouldn't be the same  ::).

The Enforcer shades look thinner, so its bridge may work better for me.

I found these and it's close, but no cigar.  YSL Aviator:

The Enforcer shades are also Ray Bans. Mid 70s Vintage B&L Style 'A' aviators.  They pop up on ebay once in a while but very pricey.
Here's one with a differant frame color:

Thanks Glenny.

When I had the Baloramas, I did feel Dirty as in Dirty Harry that is  8), but the fit could have been better.

I found these on eBay, and while they were not cheep as you stated, they were Ray Bans B&L Aviators Style A and did have the nose bridge.  Now I can feel Dirty again.  Marvelous.

Those Ray Bans look very close!

44,  not to get off topic but those Eastwood’s greatest hits on You Tube are hilarious.  Must be from TBS Superstation promotion or something.  What a riot!

Everyone seems to like those, myself included.  I saw several of the Dirty Harry ones from carymac on youtube, but since you mentioned it, I did some digging and found they were made by Spinderfella and Mrs. Spnderfella for the annual Clint Eastwood marathon at TBS.

<wearing my Enforcer shades> Marvelous.

To the casual observer like me, these shades look like the ones he wore in Coogan's Bluff; are they different?

Does anyone know if they are the same as the one's in "Coogan's Bluff."  They certainly look the same.
