What was the last Eastwood film you watched?

Guess this is the area to post that I watched Gran Torino again for about the 6th time (we need another section for non-Dirty Harry and non-Western movies).

And indeed, this is the right forum for that ... as it says on the front page, "A forum for discussions on any general Eastwood related topics not covered elsewhere." I guess it could be a little more specific.

Glad you like Gran Torino so much ... if you don't care for The Beguiled, maybe Sophia Coppola's upcoming remake will be more to your taste.

I'm always a little surprised so many people don't like Coogan's Bluff.... It's always been a favourite of mine..

Yeah coogans bluff isn't a bad movie. It's just not one that jumps out at me when I think about Clint's movies. But for me the beguiled and coogans bluff aren't that bad. There's a lot worse movies like city heat, and pink Cadillac. I put those two below bluff and beguiled.

Coogan's Bluff was the movie that turned me into a Clint fan. So memorable scenes... the introduction when he finds and beats the guy with the gun and the fight at the bar with Pushie, never fails to get me.

No Aline. I agree with you. I personally like coogans bluff.  And I like the beguiled too. I do like coogans bluff better than the beguiled. And it's defenately above movies like the rookie, Cadillac, city heat and actually several others too. Coogans bluff was different and interesting.

I thought Pink Cadillac and The Rookie were both pretty good, way better than Coogans or Beguiled.

Yeah the rookie and pink Cadillac are okay movies for me. There in the lower part of Clint's movies as far as my Clint fav movies go. Honestly there's really only three of Clint's movies he's starred in post rawhide days that are unwatchable and just flat out boring to me. They are City Heat, paint your wagon, and fire fox. Sorry to those who might like these three but that's just my opinion. I now own and have watched everyone of Clint's movies he's starred in post rawhide days. And it wouldn't bother me if I never saw those three movies again. Pretty much all the others are watchable. Some like Cadillac, and the rookie are low on my list of his that I like. But I would watch them again.

I always enjoy watching Coogan's Bluff. I agree Aline, the film has some very memorable scenes which are very entertaining.
I also think Clint's performance in this movie is very underrated. It's amazing the number of people who don't like this film.

Coogans Bluff hasnt aged well. The only interesting thing about the movie is you see some actors in small roles that Eastwood would use later on in his later films like Clifford Pellow, Albert Popwell, James McEachin, and of course Donald Stroud a few years later in Joe Kidd.

Just watched Where Eagles Dare again on TCM. What a great movie. It's amazing how much actress Mary Ure looks like Sondra Locke and in other scenes looks like Allison Eastwood.

Sully for the first time since it was released in theaters.  It looks fantastic on BluRay. Very enjoyable film, but man... one phone call between Sully and Mrs. Sully was really enough.

I've seen Breezy twice, the second time last year during the Eastwood movie challenge, and both times I've been surprised at just how much I've liked the movie. It really is a gem.
