He also did 4 Batmans as Commish Gordon......I wish the part could've been better written though as we never really got to know Gordon in those films.....the new films have explored Gordons character much better imo.

Sad news indeed.I did saw him in numerous different films like first four Batman-films but I remembered him best from Eastwood`s films.Gauntlet being my favourite of them.
