Whatever became of Brendan? Haven't seen hide nor hair of this kid. How's he doing? Did he go back to college, did he pass away?

He was a Moderator here, but in 2010 he told us he had been transferred by his employer to another city and was too busy working to be active on the Board. I last heard from him about three years ago.

That time has flown. I remember he ran in one or two marathons.

Brendan seems to be doing good these days.  He's on Facebook pretty often, where we frequently discuss socio ethical and socio economic issues facing a multicultural World.  Just kidding; we laugh at fart jokes.  8)

Hello all.

My dear buddy, Conan, informed me that my name had been spoken of on these here parts. I felt as though I could risk having my cover blown for a top secret CSIS mission I an on to make an appearance here. I can not go into great detail about said mission, however it could bring about the end of maple syrup price fixing. It could have far reaching political implications, world wide.

None of that was true.

What IS true is that I didn't realize how much time had past since I had last visited here. I think it was back when the idiots of Vancouver decided to trash their city because their hockey team choked in the playoffs. Fun times then!

But as for me, I've just been working. I'm enjoying a new job and the new car I purchased a year or so ago. Obviously, I'm waiting for Bruce to tour North America again. He has some dates this spring but not the cities I need!

I had a sort of Clint-sabatical for awhile. But late last year I decided to go through his career. I didn't make it far. Next up is Play Misty For Me. I just need to find the time to sit down and do one or two a week.

And don't believe what Conan says! He's down playing our conversations. They're really about how fart jokes are key to solving many of the worlds socio-political issues.

Hey Brendan.  :)

Are you still running?

Great to see you on the board again. Don't leave it so long in the future. Even if it is only a quick hello.

Death can never conquer me, Tim. Unless the death we're talking about is "real" death and not those delicious Easter Peeps giving me stomach aches. In which case then, yes, it may conquer me. At some point.

And yes, Lin, I try and still run. I finally hit a "rock bottom" of sorts with my fitness. Basically I had been out of the gym for a long time and realized I needed to get back into it when I could barely lift something I felt as though I should have been able to lift. Enough was enough and I've been slowly getting myself back into it. I have a feeling that that big kick in the butt is coming soon (IE: summer) where I'll hit it hard and re-gain what I've lost. I haven't done any marathons since my last one in 2009. I really want to do another one but if and when I do it'll most likely be a half marathon.

For now though, I'd like to leave you all with this:

Clint Waxwood from the "Movieland Wax Museum of the Stars" in Niagara Falls:

^ Sorry, but I don't think it's a great resemblance.

Keep up the fitness work, Brendan, and I hope you do get back out on the road race circuit again soon. 8)

I agree with KC it isn't a good likeness at all.

Great to learn you are trying to get fit again Brendan. A half marathon is a good place to start. Go for it man!  ;)

Mr. Waxwood could pass for a couple of actors Eastwood's worked with; Bruce Dern (Hang 'Em High) and James Cromwell (Space Cowboys). ^

Good luck with the marathon, Brendan!  O0

 :smitten:

a huge belated thank you  :)

I haven't been able to be around for a long long time but I haven't forgotten you guys. Currently busy with my BSc Film & TV Production course... final year  O0 and I have tons of reading to do for my Bachelor's dissertation/thesis.

I saw Jersey Boys yesterday and I decided to check the board and browse a bit.

Thank you guys, you made my day  ;)

I'm still around, it's just that life keeps getting in the way and I don't have that much time to post.
