So I went to post to my old pal, and I got this message:

God, I feel so rebellious right now for not starting a new thread.

Don't worry about me. My life is completely and utterly safe. I live the safest life in the universe. I will never die.

But, this website does suck you up. I have a lot keeping me busy, and I can't get back into the daily 5-6 hours of posting here. I'm self-employed and I'd go bankrupt trying to make a living here. Unless everyone who missed me wants to put $10k in my bank account every year.

Seriously, don't worry. I miss you all, but it's been good to keep busy. 

I'm forever humbled by reading through this thread and seeing my name come up so much.  But, Aline was right -- concentrate on the newer posters who are here now and who are really great and interested in learning more about Clint.

Hello all.

My dear buddy, Conan, informed me that my name had been spoken of on these here parts. I felt as though I could risk having my cover blown for a top secret CSIS mission I an on to make an appearance here. I can not go into great detail about said mission, however it could bring about the end of maple syrup price fixing. It could have far reaching political implications, world wide.



None of that was true.

What IS true is that I didn't realize how much time had past since I had last visited here. I think it was back when the idiots of Vancouver decided to trash their city because their hockey team choked in the playoffs. Fun times then!

But as for me, I've just been working. I'm enjoying a new job and the new car I purchased a year or so ago. Obviously, I'm waiting for Bruce to tour North America again. He has some dates this spring but not the cities I need!

I had a sort of Clint-sabatical for awhile. But late last year I decided to go through his career. I didn't make it far. Next up is Play Misty For Me. I just need to find the time to sit down and do one or two a week.

And don't believe what Conan says! He's down playing our conversations. They're really about how fart jokes are key to solving many of the worlds socio-political issues.

It's the birthday of two Old Timers today ... Holden Pike and Sylvie. Holden has actually made a few much-appreciated appearances around here since Matt's been back, but I don't think we've heard from him since the Oscars. Sylvie posted her last message here, explaining why she was leaving the Board, in October 2014 ... but she is still registered as a member.

So, just in case either of them happens to check in today: A very Happy Birthday and I hope you had a wonderful day!

My life has turned upside down since then but I have been strong and able to move forward with my life. Hope everything is well with you. I won't post often but today I felt I should to come back. Hi Aline! Did I know you before I left? I was gone from 2007 to late 2015, but I have read your posts on the board. It's good to have you back. I was sorry to see you deleted your account, and I know Richard tried to restore it, but I guess that's not possible. You were a very active member, so hopefully you can get your five stars back soon. Maybe you can get Two Mules to come back too. I loved his Toons.

I remember when I came back, I was a little embarrassed at first, not sure I'd be welcomed back. It's hard to just up and leave a community, and then show back up. You're not sure if they'll want you back. But, this is a great community, full of the most amazing people. Not only did they want me back, but I'm a Moderator again, and it feels like I never left -- though the board is a lot slower. I hope you'll help fix that.

Just remember one thing here -- beneath all our user names are real people, and we're all good people. I think sometimes we see a lot of bad stuff in the world, and so we tend to expect it here and almost look for it in posts sometimes. But often, it's really not meant the way we take it. Everyone here has been fantastic off the board and true friends. I'm sure you'll find your decision to return was a good one.
