Yesterday with my two latest DVD's and magazines, I recieved a seperate parcel. It was in a bigger box for just a CD and was quite surprised when I opened it up and it was a portable DVD player. It was a replacement gift as the CD couldn't be shipped.
Nice of them to replace it with something really nice! That's probably what I would need if I was ever going to join in with the movie nights!

I got a nice surprise in the mail yesterday.

I think if I had the choice between the two, I would've taken the DVD player. It'll come in handy on movie nights, so I don't have to jump between the board and the film on the PC.
Excellent gift, SK, well done ;D
I will be joining you all for the next movie night,Clint's Birthday and i was wondering how you all watch the film and post at the same time ;D

At the bottom of page 7, it says:

Not much, I know. But I thought it was cool. 8)

When I spoke to Deagostini Australia about the Eastwood Collection release in Australia I was informed that there was only going to be 44 issues

If that is still the case, we only have five more issues to recieve but have all these films left.  :(

Francis in the navy
Lady Godiva
Tarantula
Never say goodbye
Star in the dust
Away all boats
The first travelling saleslady
Escapade in Japan
Lafayette escadrille
Ambush at cimarron pass
The witches
Coogan's bluff
Paint your wagon
Two mules for sister sara
The beguiled
Breezy
Escape from Alcatraz
Bird
Space cowboys
Mystic River
Million dollar baby
Flags Of Our Fathers
Letters From Iwo Jima
Gran Torino
Changeling
Invictus

The 52 issues you have still doesn't cover all the films though does it? Were there any films missing?

I can understand the last six films not being included but I wonder why, Paint Your Wagon, Breezy, Escape From Alcatraz & Bird weren't included?

Paint Your Wagon and  Escape From Alcatraz was something to do with Paramount but I don't know why Breezy and Bird, were left out. ???

Issue 42, Coogan's Bluff arrived today.

It is the last issue.  :'(

The third collector box for the DVD's is only half full, or is it half empty? Either way I'm disappointed it's finished.  :(

SK, I'm Sorry the collection didn't include any of Clint's early bit part roles. :(

Why is the collector box only half full? ???

Each box holds 17 DVD's. The first two are full but the third box only has 8 DVD's in it.

I think it's great a lot of Eastwood's early appearances are available in this set.  Pity they're not yet available elsewhere.  Still, I think it's comical that his early films, especially his uncredited appearances have made their way into "The Classic Clint Eastwood Collection".  If I were still a competist, I'd love to have them all regardless of my opinion on how the studios package these films.  To be honest, without Eastwood's name attached to most of these, and the fact that they're included in a set with a lot of his more well known films, they probably wouldn't sell very well.
