Thank you, everyone! I had the VERY best birthday present ever!

Eight years ago on my birthday, the Yankees had a one-run lead in Game Seven of the World Series, with Mariano Rivera, the greatest closer of all time, on the mound to finish it off. And they lost.

That was the first time there was ever baseball in November (because the events of 9/11 had postponed everything by a week), and in the eight years that followed, there was no November baseball.

And now ... in a new Yankee Stadium, with four of the players from 2001 still on the team ... Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte, Jorge Posada and the great Mo ... THEY WIN! With Pettitte the winning pitcher, Jeter 3 for 5 in the game, and Mo on the mound to save it!

And they did it on my birthday! :D
