That's right folks, the greatest country in the world now has it's very own thread here on the board. Southern cat is President and Chief Executive Officer, I'm the Vice President and Chief Operations Officer ( COO for short, which is appropriate as there could be one very soon ) and Lin is Treasurer.

Of course the thread is open to all nationalities as we don't discriminate. The bar is open 24 hours a day and the drinks are free. It's for all things Australian. Jokes, news stories, sport, friendly rivalries anything at all. If it involves an Aussie, this is the place to post about it.

Now where the heck is SC, so he can cut the ribbon to declare this place open. I'm thirsty.

As usual you are way behind the times my friend. I have already drunk the first beer in celebration of this thread. Ummm well was that for some thing else, I can't remember. Old age an all.

Let the games/wise cracks and friendly stories begin.

Sounds like a great thread to me.   O0

If the grog is FREE then I'll shout the next round.

So when do we have the first meeting when we declare war on non drinkers and Aussie bashers?

You two are so trusting making me treasurer.  If I can get in enough funds I will be on the first plane home and the folk of Hazelbrook in the Blue Mountains had better watch out.

Australia you ROCK.

  TOP STATE!
    How nice this looks. ;)

You did say,"It's for all things Australian. Jokes, news stories, sport, friendly rivalries anything at all. If it involves an Aussie, this is the place to post about it".

A Man has an interview for immigration into Australia. The interviewer says to him: "Do you have a police record?" "What?" replies the man. "Do you still need one to get in?"  ;D ;D

The seven dwarfs went off to work in the mine one day, while Snow White stayed at home to do the housework and cook their lunch.

However when she went to the mine to deliver their lunches, she found there had been a cave-in, and there was no sign of the dwarfs.

Tearfully she yelled in to the mine entrance: "hello - is anyone there. Can anyone hear me".

A voice floated up from the bowels of the mine:

" Australia will win The Ashes"

"Thank god" said Snow White "at least Dopey's still alive"

 ;D ;D ;D ;D Sorry;)

Well after those jokes and the fact you are related to a sandgroper we might have to hold a meeting at the pub to decided membership rules.   ^-^
Will talk to the others and let you know.  :-\
No worries mate we will get back to you. :)

Funny jokes, twomules! ;D

Random memory here: back in the 4th grade, I remember doing a report/presentation over the Tasmanian Devil. I remember thinking I wouldn't want to happen upon one of those little fellas!

Mark Webber considers Ferrari's Fernando Alonso to be his main threat in Japan. Let's hope he can stay in front!

It would be fantastic if Mark wins The Formula One World Drivers' Championship :)

I am a Jenson Fan and it's very unlikely he will  retain his F1 drivers' title, So I hope Webber can win it  this year O0

All members of the board not born in Australia are Honorary members. To be a fully fledged member with all the perks that come with it, you have to born and bred down under, or you can slip a brown paper bag under the table to Lin. Make sure there's more than just air in the bag too.  ^-^

Damn.

I'm started to feel like Jerry Seinfeld whenever Newman outwitted him too many times. :D

Getting back to all things Aussie.

What's everyones favorite All Time Aussie TV show?

Anyone can answer this as I'm sure with those things hurtling through space we have the capability of transmitting TV shows on the other side of the world.

Mine is Skippy.

I just loved how he could open doors with his paws. One genius marsupial, that one.

Gotta love Skippy, mine was the Paul Hogan show. I'll never forget the way he toasted bread with a gas torch. ;D

I loved the Paul Hogan Show and In Melbourne Tonight with Graham Kerr.    Skippy too, Australia's answer to Lassie.

I will accept any currency but it has to be enough to make it worth our while and to start off the slush fund to get me home.  :D

Yeah but many of them are visiting from the Southern areas!!!!!  However NSW even has the best queens.  :D
