Hi Philo! Happy birthday, man. That is wonderful to hear about your relationship. I'm happy to hear that things are going well for you, and yes, we would love to see you back on the board. I just came back here myself, after having graduated from law school, and moving back to San Diego, and I'm enjoying it. It was my birthday recently too. There's a thread on here for that somewhere.
I remember you were one of the ones who did not much like "Unforgiven." I've started a thread in the westerns section of the board, and I'd love, if you're up for it, to get your thoughts on my thread. It hasn't gotten much response, and I find it to be a very interesting topic. I also wrote a thread in the General Discussion thread concerning Eastwood's portrayal of religion in his films. I'd love to hear your thoughts on that as well. I know that you said that you felt you contributed all that you could to the board, and I respect that, and at the same time, I'd love to hear what you think on my threads, because I think they're interesting topics, and ones that I'd like to have a dialogue about. So, as a happy birthday to me, post in those threads, if you have any time or interest. Thanks so much, man. Happy birthday to you, and I hope to see you around more often on the board.
P.S. I also attended the Carmel Film Festival, and saw Eastwood on stage presenting an award and doing an interview, and listened to a lecture with Joel Cox, his editor of 36 years. I wrote a thread about it, which you can read at your leisure. Joel Cox confirmed to me that Eastwood is going to be starring in a new film soon, though not directing it, which I couldn't be happier about.
