I am with you Hemlock  ???

I will pass from here on in, there are too many characters left that are in a word " stiff ".

How Mc B can be voted off while Hogan, Highway and Whitney remain is ...... well have you seen these films lately ?

As for Philo, it is good to see Eastwood laugh and he certainly does that and a great many other emotions in between.

Sour grapes ? Maybe, but we don't have too many players in this game and now there is one less .

Philo .

Beddoe is out and Bronco Billy is still there ???
Bronco Billy and Luther Whitney.

Good point, I just noticed Billy is still there.  He needs to go.

Whoa, Whitney's still around, huh?  Geez... he has to go NOW.

I only voted for McBurney in a defensive strategy to keep Block, since they had the same # of votes.  Why is Wes Block getting votes already?  He's one of the best characters!

I actually agree with Philo's three that he mentioned.  This time:  Whitney and Hogan (Highway will be next).

I like Billy... I'm not voting him off yet.

I have to confess that it`s been awhile since I saw The Beguiled but I remember that I did not like Clint`s character in this film.It could be that I would like it more now if I`ll see it again. ???
Hogan and Highway are on the other hand great(more likable)characters even if the films Two Mules For Sister Sara and The Heartbreakridge are not"masterpieces" .
Whitney?Yes this character should have been long gone.

This brings us back to square one....  who do we try to keep?  The characters that are the most likeable, or the characters that are the best portrayed, most complex, and most interesting?

Sure McB isn't at the top of Eastwood's "likeable character" list, but he is at the top of all of the other criteria I listed.  Hogan, on the other hand, while likeable, is not.

I'm voting them off based more on the performance (sorry D'Amb, can't help it) and trying to keep those characters that are Clint's best performances and the most interesting and complicated of the bunch.  McB shouldn't have gone yet, but as I said, I'm trying to keep Block.  Anyone who hasn't seen Tightrope lately shouldn't even think of voting off Wes Block until the final rounds.

Very good point Matt. This voting could be more intresting if people write after the character`s name why they think he should be voted off.
I don`t care if somebody is voting some character of only because it`s not likable.I just want to know their reasons.

It's just a silly game not to be taken too seriously.   ::)

Vote off who you want to vote off, for any reason.  Be it strategy or because you do not like the character or you just don’t like his name. In this game it’s not necessary to defend your answers (but always fun to listen anyway).  I'm sorry to see some people quitting but if that's the way  they feel, so be it.  To each his own.

I agree that it would be interesting to listen to why people voted off a certain chartacter, but making it a requirment would certainly cut back on participants...

I didn't want to vote off the Preacher so soon, but sometimes you just got to bite the bullet and keep things moving...

Ya can't please everybody.

We take Survivor very seriously round here!  What's the point of playing if don't care about who wins or loses?  Sure, it's just a game, but so is the Superbowl!  ;D

I vote that everyone join back in the game, and see it to the end.

Who will be the sole survivor? Will it be Josey Wales again? Dirty Harry? The Man With No Name?  Or could Munny survive Philo's quest to have him blown away early and be the last man standing?  :o

Get mean about it if you want... harass other players for their choices.  Argue it out if you want... but in the spirit of competition and fun!  Keep the game goin', and may the best man win!  :D

No offence to anyone ( I think you guys knew that)

It just doesn't seem the same as the film one and I guess the lack of players also hurts it .

Good luck to the winner (they are all winners ..... well nearly)  ;)

I agree with D'Amb:
Quote
Vote off who you want to vote off, for any reason.
It's not so much that I don't like the character's I've been voting off, but I vote 'em whenever I take the notion to.

A character survivor is actually pretty interesting, because at times, even if I don't care as much for the movie, or if it isn't one of my favorites, chances are I'd still watch it because of Eastwood being in it.

(And I'm sure many of you have realized that I rarely speak badly about any Eastwood film)

May I play? I just joined and have been going through a bunch of these threads and this game looks like a lot of fun! Of course some of my favorite characters have already been voted off (The Preacher) but there are many left. I love Eastwood movies and am only missing a few from my collection (Honky Tonk Man, Bridges of Madison County, and Space Cowboys).
