Our new Webmaster, Richard, and a techie friend of his (Doug7410) have been working "behind the scenes" to upgrade the site and the Board. They have updated the Board software to the latest version, partly for security and spam prevention reasons. Unfortunately, some things inadvertently got changed along the way that shouldn't have been. You may have noticed some of these, though quite a few have already been fixed, and Richard and Doug are working hard to get everything back looking the same as before. Richard told us Mods: Thanks for hanging in there. All should come back looking the same but with more features when we are done. Please keep providing feedback.

So we're starting a new thread for members to contribute feedback. Among the biggest issues: you'll have noticed that the "smiley" buttons seem to have gone away from the reply box, though you can still make smileys by using the keyboard, like : and ) for a "plain" smiley, ... However, the smilies now look different too. Richard told us: I put in quick patches to fix everything I think except the Smileys. Those Smileys are going to take more investigation. So he's working on that. Anything else you see that bothers you, please post here!

Meanwhile, for those of you who are missing the icons for quotations and such things as italics, bold and underline, you can use the following tags instead.
I'll post them here with a space after the opening bracket. Delete that space and put the words you want italicized, quoted, etc., between the opening and closing tags.
Quotation: [ quote]
Italics: [ i]
Bold: [ b]
Underline: [ u]
To make a "titled" link, type [ url=] (without the space after the first bracket) Then, paste the URL after the equals sign. Then, type the title you want between the opening and closing tags.
