Films Clint Eastwood appeared in but not as the star

Of course, Ambush At Cimarron Pass could be considered an exception but I don't think Cilnt would mind, especially considering his take on it.  I'm fairly certain he called it one of the worst westerns ever made.

There was a time I was attempting to collect all of these on dvd but didn't get very far.  Revenge Of The Creature was the first time I'd seen him in something other than what he'd been famous for (Leone weterns & Dirty Harry, primarily).  I had it and Away All Boats on dvd but I think that's it.  I saw Tarantula when I was a kid and at that time had no idea who Clint Eastwood was so that was probably the very first time I'd ever seen him, without knowing it.  Of course, a glimpse of that scene from Tarantula can be seen in The Rookie.  I caught his appearance in Never Say Goodbye on television in the late 90's.  More recently, Ambush At Cimarron Pass was featured on the Encore Westerns channel. 

What would be great is to have these all compiled in one set.  Not necessarily each of the movies, but Clint's appearances in each.  I know I'd enjoy watching something like that.

I hope there are some that find this topic interesting enough to comment.  Weigh in with your thoughts and which of these appearances you've seen.

Yes, I think that would be very cool!  I am attempting to one day own every movie that Clint's ever acted in.  And including those movies he wasnt the star in which you have listed there.  Some of those I may not be able to find but I'm still going to try.  I still have a little ways to go but I am buying all of his starring movies first.  And those you have listed I probably would not want to watch all of them all the way through.  So having all of those with just Clint's part only would be really cool for me.  But I wont be too disappointed if I'm unable to find and buy some of those he didnt star in.  But I do want to at least eventually own everyone he's acted in that he has starred in.  I know I asked a question awhile back if anybody owns everyone of Clint's movies he's acted in.  I wonder if those people also own all of those you have listed that he didnt star in?

But those threads are all pretty old, so we may as well start a new one.

I don't think there's one film on the list that's memorable for any reason except that Clint is in it. Star in the Dust, which used to be about the hardest to find, may be the best of the lot. At any rate it's Clint's first Western (though I think he only has two lines in it) so maybe it's worth watching just for that.

^^^Thanks, Rawhide 7.  Glad you like the new topic.  Thanks for the information on Star In The Dust, KC.  That's one of many of these I've yet to see.  I'm dying to see Francis In The Navy.  I'm fairly certain it's available on dvd but not sure and even if it were not sure it'd be worth the money.  If I were still collecting, I'd probably have it and whatever else happens to be currently available to round out my collection.  Which brings me back to your question, Rawhide 7.  I used to own every Clint Eastwood film from A Fistful Of Dollars up to 2007.  I had a few pre-Fistful Eastwood appearances on dvd and the first season of Rawhide.  I discontinued my collecting and sold a lot of what I had at that time.  Right now I have the 35 Years 35 Movies set and the Leone trilogy, but that's it.  My dad recently gave me a couple of Rawhide sets but I have no desire to continue.  If/when Rawhide is made available in it's entirety in one set, they I'll definitely consider it.  At that time I may revisit acquiring all of these appearances on dvd as well.

Hahaha, thanks Antonis!     True, but I'm focusing primarily on the films he appeared in pre-A Fistful Of Dollars.  There's a handful of television programs he appeared in prior to Rawhide, too.  So, it'd be great to have all of his movie and tv appearances in one set and as an added bonus, this bit from Casper.

Not long ago I picked up Creature From The Black Lagoon and the sequels, of which I believe there were 2.  I've always liked the first one and enjoyed the second one, featuring Eastwood, when I finally got around to watching it in it's entirety.  The third one was terrible.  I don't recall if there were any more sequels.   Definitely a cool monster, though and probably one of the first that scared me when I was a kid.  Most of those were great, Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, The Mummy, etc.

I wonder if Mr. Ed was based on Francis The Talking Mule...
