THE LONE MUSIC SURVIVOR!!

Speak up, SK ... he can't hear you!!! :D

Congrats to Ludwig Van, and a hearty handshake to my personal favorite, Wolfgang Amadeus, for taking the runner-up spot.

Thanks to SK, once more, for organizing and running the game. I never thought a classical composer would make it to the Final Five, let alone the final round be between two of them ... but that's the quirks of the game when there are so few participants.

Let's let Mozart have the last word, though ...

I know that...  I can still be outraged though, because, dude, it's Hendrix, man.  :)  But please spell his name right.  It's "Jimi", not "Jimmy".   ;)

Where is Doug? God this made me laugh!

Sorry, SK, but I'm the same age as you and in the 80s the radio stations played "Pink Houses" and "Jack and Diane" and whatever other Mellencamp songs over and over and I loathed every song.  I think his post 80s stuff is probably better, but I still hate all those hits of his from that time period.

I was pretty dismayed to see John voted off so early too. Scarecrow is one of my favorite CDs. I saw him on tour for that album, and it was one of my favorite concerts. At the time, when you went to a concert, it was about the light show, and the calisthenics (though DLR was amazing when I saw him with VH, no one else could come close).  But, John Mellencamp went the other direction. A completely empty stage (I don't even remember there being a sound system on the stage, it may have been blended in somehow.  It was just a white stage, and white backdrop. And him and his band. It was all about the music. And it was absolutely fantastic!

My bad -- edit.... it was the Lonesome Jubilee tour, not Scarecrow.

Elvis Presley has been eliminated.

The Beatles                          Ludwig Van Beethoven                       Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

So proud of my friends here to put The Beatles up against these other two legends as the best 3 composers and greatest contributions in the history of music.
