Ok, well, when I first joined this forum way back in ....2002, I think it was, I decided on Jed Cooper because I share the same last name as Eastwood's character in Hang 'Em High, so I thought it a perfect choice.  Some time later, I changed it to my real name.  Then, a little while back I reverted to Jed.  Truth be told I was considering ending my membership here but this forum is just too good to leave!

After deciding not long ago that I do not wish to depart, I have ultimately decided to go back to using my real name.  I very much enjoy returning here from time to time, conversing with others and sharing thoughts on various topics.  The moderators run a tight ship here and they should be commended for doing so. 

SO: Thank you, mods, for doing a very good job here and thank you members, past & present for your thoughts and insight on various topics and movies throughout the years.  I've made a handful of friends that I keep in touch with outside of this forum and that is a bonus.

Never say never.  I will be updating my profile and changing my user name back again to my real name, Brian Cooper.  I won't say I'll never change it again but I honestly don't want to.  I've been a member here for a very long time.  There have been ups and downs, disagreements and misunderstandings.  I've made a few good friends here that I intend on staying in touch with. 

Whatever negativity that has come about that I played either a minor or major role in, I truly do regret and am taking this opportunity to apologize to any and all that may have been offended by anything I have said.  I know I've always tried to be diplomatic and not vulgar but do see how I may have come across at times in the past as arrogant.  Arrogance and stubbornness are not good qualities at all.  There have been a lot of good and great moments here and I look forward to more of the same going forward. 

So, I hope this finds you all in good health and spirits.  Wherever you are in this world, I hope you're enjoying time with your loved ones, family and friends.  I hope the weather is good and not harsh.  Throw in your favorite Eastwood movie and enjoy!

I want to echo what Richard Earl said!  Jed I have always really enjoyed your post on here. I pretty much have always agreed with what you say. I honestly can't remember a time if any where I didn't agree with the things you say.  I don't think you owe anybody an apology. You have the right to state your opinions on things. I believe everybody should be honest and say what they truly feel. Instead of being fake and just agreeing with people even though you may not actually agree with them just trying to be nice and get along. With that said people should disagree with good taste and along the lines of this boards rules and policy. We are all adults and should be able to disagree with each other in good taste. Awhile back you said you were going to spend time away from this site and spend more time on other sites like Facebook ect. I am glad your back and are again a regular on here. I know I would be very upset if you left altogether. I actually like your username Jed Cooper. When I see your username replying to someone's post I always immediately open it to see what Jed Cooper has to say. Because I know it's always going to be good and positive and you are always very respectable to others opinions if you should disagree with them. Nothing against your name but I am so use to seeing Jed Cooper on here that it's going to take awhile to get adjusted to realizing that your the same person. You are an awesome member on here my friend!😀
